Dr. Kanani, a pathologist and medical officer at the Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education and Research (SMIMER). As part of his career journey, he decided to obtain a SAS certification credential.
His motivation came from the desire to enhance his data analytics skills and improve career prospects. He decided that developing his technology skill, in including knowledge of SAS would help. He also decided that extending his R and Python knowledge with SAS programming skill, would expand his options when it came to using technology to investigate data.

Dr Kanani has since reflected that earning the SAS certification has significantly boosted his confidence and credibility in data analytics. He is able to apply extended knowledge, including SAS skills, in his workplace. And he has increased public profile through high-impact journal articles.
