Please tell us about promotion possibilities and fill us in on what it takes to move up the ranks.
At BCD, promotion opportunities are based on a combination of performance, experience, and demonstrated skills. To move up the ranks, it’s important to consistently deliver high-quality work, take initiative on projects, and contribute positively to the team. Showing a willingness to learn and adapt, along with actively participating in training and development programs, can also help.

I have only been here approximately 6 months but it seems the type of company where people advance at a fairly quick rate. It is also based on what your goals are. The managers ask what your career goals are and if you wish to move up quick they will throw you harder projects to help develop you faster, so it depends on your personal goals which is good.

After i have completed the steps required at a graduate level i can become a Junior draftsman, then move to an intermediate draftsman and eventually a senior draftsman , there is not set time limit on this and it solely depends on milestones i make and my learning. There is the opportunity to become a drafting manager or a project manager as well.

The company is still growing so there is plenty of opportunities to move up within the company and also be involved in a range of projects. I simply have to let my team leader know of my goals and they help formulate a plan to help support my career goals.
