What is Chevron's Vacation Program?

The Chevron Vacation Program provides 12-weeks of paid vacation employment, giving students the opportunity to participate in our industry-leading oil and gas projects while acquiring practical skills relevant to your field of study.

What we offer

As a petroleum engineering vacation student, you will gain a better understanding of the role as a Petroleum Engineer within an integrated Subsurface Team supporting world-class operations.

You will assist in evaluating reservoir and well performance and provide support to petroleum engineering field operations personnel responsible for monitoring and optimising well performance and integrity.

Throughout your placement, you will also be exposed to the routine management of gas production well operations, in order to maintain asset integrity and optimise resource recovery. You will learn how to utilise well condition monitoring and reservoir surveillance data, and how these can impact short and long term business decisions.

Opportunities exist in our Wheatstone, Gorgon, Exploration & Pre-Development and Non-Operated Joint Venture Subsurface Teams.

Following completion of the 12-week program, vacation students who perform above expectations may be considered for full time graduate positions, where roles are available.

Who we are looking for

To be eligible for the Chevron Vacation Program applicants must be:

• In their penultimate or final year of an undergraduate degree or a postgraduate degree, graduating by the end of 2022
• Excellent communicators with strong analytical skills and a focus on teamwork and collaboration
• Committed to Chevron's values of diversity and inclusion, integrity and trust, high performance, partnership and protecting people and the environment
• Available for the specified duration of employment from 22 November 2021 until 11 February 2022
• Eligible to legally work and live in Australia permanently
