We’re seeking highly motivated individuals with an Instrumentation & Control Engineering qualification recognised by an institution within Australia.

  • Work within Australia’s largest electricity network, serving 2.25 million customers.
  • Participate in a unique three-year program offering diverse working and learning experiences.
  • Complete 6-month rotational placements in a range of specialisations and parts of the business to broaden your skills set and knowledge of the energy sector.
  • Develop future focused technical, business and leadership skills.
  • Complete challenging work assignments under the expert supervision of senior leaders and technical specialists.
  • Work towards becoming a Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) in partnership with Engineers Education Australia (EEA).
  • Maintain a healthy work-life balance with a 9-day fortnight, and an attractive commencing salary of $103k per annum plus 14.75% superannuation.
  • Secure full time, permanent employment as part of the program.

Your new role

  • You’ll provide engineering support to your assigned workgroup by undertaking specific investigations, risk-based assessments, engineering research and analysis, design and/or providing project assistance as required.
  • Participate in, development opportunities provided and sponsored by the Graduate Engineer Development Program e.g., coursework, seminars, and team activities.
  • Take ownership for career planning and personal development while working with your allocated mentor, including, monitoring, and reviewing progress against performance criteria to ensure you have the skills required to grow your career.
  • Contribute to the completion of project/team deliverables through the timely application of engineering research, modelling, techniques, and methods to allocated tasks.

About you

You’re imaginative, passionate, and motivated to succeed in your career. You work safely, think creatively, embrace diversity, and want to engage, to listen, learn and expand your knowledge.  

  • You’re about to or have recently graduated (within the last two (2) years), with a Bachelor of Engineering from an institution recognised within Australia with a strong academic record.
  • You are a great collaborator and communicator and enjoy working in an inclusive and supportive team.
  • You aren’t afraid to stand out in a crowd and you are known for your growth mindset and adaptive and innovative thinking.
  • You’re an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or an Australian permanent resident.
