Sustainability committee makes a good effort, but still seems to be quite minimal

I am on the sustainability committee. There can be enthusiasm from staff to have better green initiatives in principle, but this enthusiasm seems to drop off in terms of actual uptake and use. There's also some skepticism around the office as to whether the committee's work is actually contributing/doing anything. However, I feel the committee is doing its best to make change. it has quite limited resources and influence on the board to change company policy and behaviour. Also, the most significant changes - travel/commute, including air travel, waste and building facilities for cycling to work - are difficult to shift without widespread buy-in by staff. The company needs to put more resources into incentivising sustainable practices - like subsidising public transport.

We have a great sustainability committee that is always running new initiatives to reduce our firm's environmental footprint.
