What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
Bonuses are not appropriate for this organisation Never ask about pay - whatever people receive, its never enough.
Graduate, Melbourne - 09 Nov 2023
No bonuses but will great if there is. Pay still need to be balanced with other APS.
Graduate, Canberra - 07 Nov 2023
No bonuses are available. Pay is below several departments and agencies (approximately at the median) which makes it difficult to retain skilled staff. The Agency needs to be more competitive regarding pay if it wishes to retain staff.
Graduate, Canberra - 03 Nov 2023
It is adequate for a graduate salary.
Graduate, Canberra - 03 Nov 2023
From my current understanding the pay is quite good, but I've heard its better in other government sectors. - Frankly for a graduate fresh out of university, being presented with opportunities like I have been, the pay becomes less of a worry, because you are already building rapport with staff and loyalty to the company.
Graduate, Brisbane - 03 Nov 2023
I would make more money in the private sector. No bonuses.
Graduate, Canberra - 02 Nov 2023
Bonuses don't seem to be a thing.
Graduate, Melbourne - 02 Nov 2023
It is completely unacceptable to be paid at a lower level than colleagues performing the same work.
Graduate, Other (Please specify) - Tweed Heads - 31 Oct 2023
Need to be increased
Graduate, Melbourne - 30 Oct 2023
Decent but wold obviously like to be paid more, especially in legal where we could be making a lot more
Graduate, Canberra - 30 Oct 2023
My current pay level covers my bills, but not much more. I have been fortunate that my current team has offered opportunities to work overtime and earn extra flex.
Graduate, Adelaide - 30 Oct 2023
It's okay for a graduate but rapidly becomes inadequate after graduation, and the current pay offer doesn't look like it even will keep up with inflation.
Graduate, Adelaide - 30 Oct 2023
Agency couldn't careless about their workers and would pay them less if they could.
Graduate, Brisbane - 30 Oct 2023
I think the SES and Chief Executive officer pay bands are a little ludicrous for public servants in general. I understand the need to pay competitive salaries but to think people who have direct lines of contact with customers are paid exponentially less than Cheif Executive Officers is similar to corporate practice. I believe the agency needs to work on making pay and working conditions better primarily for frontline and technical staff as they're the people who make everything work at the end of the day.
Graduate, Adelaide - 30 Oct 2023
Should generally be higher but it is not poor.
Graduate, Brisbane - 30 Oct 2023
I would like to be paid more. I will be next year by 25% which is something important to look forward to.
Graduate, Adelaide - 30 Oct 2023
Pay rises are coming!!
Graduate, Melbourne - 30 Oct 2023
Public services N/A on bonuses but the pay is fair.
Graduate, Canberra - 30 Oct 2023
I think I am fairly remunerated for the work that I do and I look forward to progressing at the end of the program. I hope the pay offer from the APSC increases but at the moment I am happy with what I am recieving.
Graduate, Brisbane - 30 Oct 2023
The pay is ok but it is definitely less than the private sector.
Graduate, Brisbane - 30 Oct 2023
What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
Think - appropriate government spending...... training, responsibility and opportunity are the perks here and the intrinsic reward of knowing you are being of service to the Australian public
Graduate, Melbourne - 09 Nov 2023
Relocation fee was paid but there are no other perks.
Graduate, Canberra - 03 Nov 2023
Offers relocation assistance when commencing the grad program.
Graduate, Canberra - 03 Nov 2023
Superannuation is pretty good. Working from home flexibility is amazing, since I commute on the train and it takes over 2 hours each day. I can't think of any other examples currently, but I have not been with the company all that long to earn 'perks' so to speak.
Graduate, Brisbane - 03 Nov 2023

As a remote worker, isolated from the rest of my team who are located in Canberra, I recently enjoyed flying to Canberra for a Graduate event (accommodation, flights, taxis, meals, all paid for), and took advantage of the chance to meet them all in person.
Graduate, Adelaide - 30 Oct 2023
The general public service attitude towards work which means when you're done at 5 you're done for the day.
Graduate, Adelaide - 30 Oct 2023
The whole of my transfer from where I lived to where I now work was fully paid for including car transfer and removalists.
