About the role

Your long-term career with one of the top ten global design firms starts here. As a member of our international community of driven, passionate, and smart professionals, you’ll have a chance to grow and develop as a future leader and innovator, work with other colleagues who offer fresh perspectives, and learn the foundations of consulting working with clients across Australia, and around the world.

We’re looking for graduates with an economics, commerce, mathematics, science or similar numerate discipline to join our growing Australian Advisory team in Melbourne. You will work in the Infrastructure Business focusing on transportation and other economic infrastructure decision-making for both government and private sector clients around the country.

Our team works on some of the most complex and challenging issues affecting cities and communities. You will be part of the Advisory planning and investment team focusing on investment decisions across policy, programs and projects.

The potential range of projects is wide and can involve work across sectors focused on our client’s growth and adaptation challenges such as climate change and resource security, demographic, social and urbanization changes, economic and market shifts, geopolitical changes, and incremental and breakthrough technologies.

About you

You will be as committed as we are to improving the world we live in, seizing the environmental challenges that we all face and coming up with solutions to benefit generations to come. Our people demonstrate personal leadership qualities and thrive in an environment where they’re challenged and expected to take increasing responsibility and accountability for client service, technical delivery and project outcomes.

This role will undertake strategic analysis and research relating to social, demographic, technological and other emerging trends, develop policies and strategies, and undertake feasibility assessments, economic appraisals and business cases in support of investment decisions.

As a graduate with Stantec, you will have opportunities that only a global company can provide, including:

  • A global developing professionals network
  • Firm-wide online specialist knowledge group
  • Access to global industry leaders through our Practice Leader network
  • Ability to work on projects across geographies
  • Technical support mentoring and encouragement
  • Supportive collegiate culture to grow professionally

It couldn't be easier beginning your career with Stantec. You'll have the chance to work on leading-edge projects, fully supported by our comprehensive graduate development program.

  • Be eligible to work in Australia
  • Ready, willing and able to commence work in March 2023.

What we offer

Along with a competitive salary and vibrant culture, you will join a place where the best and brightest come to build on each other’s talents, do exciting work, and make a big impact. From large city-shaping projects down to complex policy interventions, you can reach out across our global network to learn from others, get support, and gain new experiences.
