Role: Transport Planner. Responsibilities: Any technical work. Have done economic analysis, research, report writing.

I work on the design of water infrastructure for predominately government projects.

I enjoy my day-to-day role as a designer/consultant in the three waters space. I feel pride in my work and satisfaction that my good work gets acknowledged and appreciated

Assisting senior engineer with the project.

Varies between model verification and drafting jobs as well as some report formatting when involved in bids.

8. Currently most projects I work on involve drafting up reports and processing data (gINT, Leapfrog, etc.).

My project work is a mixture of mostly working in the office and occasionally going on site. In addition to working on projects, I am also involved with committees within WSP and help organise learning/training opportunities for my team.

Graduate Structural Engineer. Structural design and assessment for the buildings.

Writing reports, organising field work programmes, writing health and safety programmes

Involves either site work or reporting for various clients. My role includes a large amount of travel and am often out of town for field work. Typically spend half a day in the field and half in the office with a hybrid flow.

Data gathering, Data processing, Model Development, Output visualization.

Project management, decarbonisation, design of 3-waters infrastructure. I feel like I get to contribute to the team

I will work on tasks I have been assigned by my manager and other members from my team. I will also co-ordinate with team members to check on my progress for the tasks I am working on.

I am currently a crash barrier designer and a miscellaneous AutoCAD drafter (people send me drawings that need fixing - very short-term work). Work comes sporadically and I am often left to trying to fill in my day. I try to be productive and upskill myself but this hard as I've hit a level where I can't progress my skills until I've tried them out in a project to solidify my understanding. I need more work to actually have a day-to-day expectation to give you I feel like every day isn't planned. I go into the office usually with nothing planned to do.
