There are lots of initiatives WSP has to reduce its environmental impact as a company (ie electric cars in the fleet, incentive to travel to work more eco-friendly, etc.) and in providing solutions to clients with a climate focus.

WSP has made sustainability, decarbonisation and net zero commitments, such as reducing the carbon in our designs by 50% by 2030. There are many sustainability and decarbonisation initiatives, which committees within each sector are responsible for achieving.

WSP is environmentally conscious, but it could do more in this regard e.g solar panels on office roofs, more EVs in the fleet. I am involved with the decarbonisation taskforce which addresses the embodied carbon in our designs and advice

Decarbonisation is big topic within the company as when we take on new projects, ways to decrease carbon output is considered.

Encouraging active / public transport use to commute to work. Introducing the decarbonisation model which helps measures a projects carbon output. Hopefully there will be a tool for Civil 3D that measures designs carbon volume.
